True Downtown Still Exists

This website was originally created in 2008 to make a case as to why some homeowners thought developer Barry Shy should be removed from the board of directors and his management company fired from managing the building. Some homeowners petitioned to remove the board of directors, but the developer-dominated board simply re-elected themselves retaining a three person majority control of the five person board. Because the board votes which management company will manage a building by simple majority, Mr. Shy and family chose to continue hiring themselves to manage the building without asking the homeowners if they approved of such a decision. When the board recall was unsuccessful, because BS still owned too many units, this site remained up as a tool for anyone wanting to do research on some of the developer's public records and press.

This site is meant to introduce questions and have a discussion about the welfare of the SB Grand loft building so that issues will be addressed, resulting in the building increasing in value.
